Dr. Dean is a rarity in medicine. She is a medical doctor and a naturopathic doctor, one of the few people in the world with those two titles. She graduated from Dalhousie Medical School in Nova Scotia in 1978. She is also a graduate of the Ontario Naturopathic College and in 2005 completes her six-year appointment board member of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto.

Dr. Dean began practicing integrative medicine in 1979, long before the term was even invented. Since 1992, Dr. Dean has lived in New York researching a medical modality to treat the layers of infection in the body –including yeast. This research culminates in a program called the Body Rejuvenation Cleanse, which will soon be available to the public. By the end of 2005, Dr. Dean will have published ten books with four more on the way: When You Can’t Reach the Doctor, Menopause Naturally, Homeopathic Remedies for Children’s Common Ailments, Natural Prescriptions for Common Ailments, The Miracle of Magnesium, Everything Alzheimer’s, Death by Modern Medicine, Hormone Balance, IBS for DUMMIES, The Complete Natural Medicine Guide to Women’s Health. Are Your Problems Yeast Connected?

If you . . . feel “sick all over,” have taken antibiotic drugs have sought help from many different specialists have taken birth control pills are troubled by fatigue and/or muscle aches are bothered by food sensitivities and/or digestive problems crave sugar sometimes feel spaced out are bothered by depression and/or irritability are bothered by headaches are sensitive to tobacco, smoke, perfume and other chemicals . . .

your health problems may be yeast connected!

Women between the ages of 20 and 55 are especially apt to develop yeast-related health problems. Common symptoms include:

weight gain recurrent vaginal yeast infections recurrent urinary tract infections PMS vulvodynia sexual dysfunction dyspareunia (painful intercourse) infertility endometriosis interstitial cystitis

Men and children also develop yeast-related health problems, and these are especially common in people who have taken many antibiotic drugs. Other complaints and illnesses that may sometimes be related to the common yeast, Candida albicans, include:

numbness tingling multiple sclerosis Crohn’s disease irritable bowel syndrome colitis rheumatoid arthritis myasthenia gravis eczema acne lupus erythematosus asthma sinusitis psoriasis chronic hives

I’m not saying that the common yeast, Candida albicans or any of its close relatives, are the cause of all these problems. Yet candida may be one or the causes — even a major cause — of these and other health-related problems.

In this book, you’ll find easy-to-read-and-understand explanations of yeast-related health problems and a step-by-step program that will help you overcome them.
